ABOUT THE SPACE

In 2010, when The Den Theatre first moved into this 2nd Floor space on N. Milwaukee Ave., it was just an empty loft. We curtained off a performance area where the walls now stand, and produced our first show there. Before long, we had enclosed the area with sound-proof walls, built a lobby and bar outside the space, and decorated it in a cozy, comfortable style that set the theme for the rest of the building, giving our home an identity.

The Den Mainstage is an 80-seat, black-box theatre that features our signature red, cushioned armchairs that are removable to suit your needs. Renting companies will appreciate the excellent sound & light package we offer, and enjoy a large, off-stage dressing-room and lounge area, as well as our front-of-house services. Their audiences will enjoy having a bar in the lobby and loads of comfortable furniture for relaxing and socializing!

Because of its size, configuration, location in the building, and amenities, The Den Mainstage has long been a very popular choice for many producing companies. For us here at The Den, it will always be a sentimental favorite!
