The Crosby (Theatre 2B)

ABOUT THE SPACE

In 2011, The Den Theatre leased the loft space next door, to the east. It was originally built out to house classrooms, and for a time, was home to Black Box Acting Academy. Later, the space was reimagined and rebuilt to house two new performance spaces. These two spaces feature a sumptuous lobby outside, beautifully decorated with rich, oak woodwork and large bookcases, providing audiences with a warm, luxurious environment to gather in before and after the show!

THE CROSBY

Named to honor the dedication and service of Shelley Seagraves Crosby, who served as General Manager of The Den Theatre from 2012-2021. This theatre is a medium-sized black-box and is probably our most versatile space of this type. Able to accommodate up to 65 persons, it features our signature, red armchairs, portable Wenger risers, its own, self-controlled HVAC system, and multiple entrances from the large, off-stage area. Renting companies will benefit from an excellent sound & light package, and our professional front-of-house services. Because of its size, versatility, and price, The Crosby is one of our most sought-after black-box performance spaces.
