Dragoș is one of the pioneers of the English-language comedy scene in Europe — a Romanian-born comedian whose sharp wit, fearless crowd work, and darkly hilarious takes on modern life have made him a favorite across the continent and beyond.

After three hit stand-up specials — Hungry Hungry Dragon, Best Case Scenario, The Schengen Special — Dragoș returns to Chicago with his crowd-work show HOT GOSSIP.

He began his stand-up journey in Singapore and has since performed over 1,000 shows across 80+ European cities, becoming one of the most active touring comedians in the region. His comedy is a tribute to Eastern Europe and the experience of living abroad, blending dry observation with cultural insight, vulnerability, and absurdism.

Dragoș has received 500+ glowing reviews and built an online following of over 1.2 million fans across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook — including over 700,000 on TikTok and over 450,000 on Instagram alone.During the lockdown, he wrote for Comedy Central and took his comedy global, connecting with fans across borders through raw, smart, and unfiltered stand-up.

Dragos’ Hot Gossip show is an audience interaction performance. At the start of the show you will be handed a piece of paper where you can write down some piece of gossip, a secret, or something that you probably shouldn’t know.

This can range anywhere from: WORST DATING EXPERIENCE, TRASH YOUR EX, CRAZY FAMILIES, WORK DRAMA, NEIGHBOUR DRAMA, CONTROVERSIAL OPINIONS, NIGHT OUT ADVENTURES, EMERGENCY ROOM PROBLEMS AND MORE!

Dragos takes it from there, spinning your real-life drama into his specialty: improvised stand-up comedy.

We hope you enjoy the show. Please do not record any part of the performance — you’re welcome to take photos, but kindly turn the flash off.

The Den Theatre and comedy club is pleased to host Dragoș: Hot Gossip on August 8 , 2026 at 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.
