Young Chicago Authors Presents: Rooted & Radical Youth Poetry Festival Prelims

The Rooted & Radical Youth Poetry Festival is a 6-week literary festival engaging youth, educators, and schools in the power of poetry. These preliminary bouts are the first round of our festival where young people from across the city share their poems with the world! This event takes place in The Bookspan Theatre.

The Den Theatre and comedy club is pleased to host Rooted & Radical Youth Poetry Festival Prelims on February 17-20 , 2026 at 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.
