The Persistent Guest is the darkly humorous true story of Jodeen's trifecta of breast cancer diagnosis, bad relationship choices and the psychedelic nature of chemo drugs.
A fully produced version of the show premiered at Boise Contemporary Theater, in Boise, Idaho, having a three week run in 2023. A stripped down version went on to The Spot in Ketchum Idaho, United Solo Fest in New York City and West of Lenin Theater in Seattle. There have also been several small salon type performances in unique venues in Oregon and San Francisco. She is so happy to be in Chicago at The Den and can't wait to eat at Dove's again. Jodeen lives in Boise, Idaho. The Persistent Guest is her first solo show.
The Den Theatre and comedy club is pleased to host The Persistent Guest on August 2, 2026 at 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.
