Quantum Illuminations
- The Den Theatre 1331 North Milwaukee Avenue Chicago, IL, 60622 United States (map)
You are cordially invited to Quantum Illuminations, an enchanting evening presented by the University of Illinois and The Grainger College of Engineering.
At the intersection of scientific discovery and artistic vision lies a unique event of interest to anyone curious about the universe. In recognition of your leadership in shaping Chicago's emergence as the global center of next-generation computing, we are pleased to extend to you an exclusive invitation to a private, pre-performance reception.
Quantum Illuminations combines the wonders of science with the beauty of artistic expression in a multimedia live performance that imaginatively meanders through some of the most tantalizing concepts of quantum physics.
The evening opens with National Poet Richard Blanco, whose light-filled poetry sets the stage for an immersive journey through the quantum world. In Quantum Voices, scientists share their personal adventures into exciting current frontier research. The program culminates with Quantum Rhapsodies, a stunning fusion of poetic narrative, melodic quartet movements by the internationally acclaimed Jupiter String Quartet and lush visuals.
Quantum Illuminations was created by quantum scientists and artists from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in collaboration with fellow-Illinois partners and special guests.
We look forward to sharing this singular evening with you!
