George Civeris is a standup comedian and writer based in Brooklyn. He has appeared on Comedy Central and Showtime, and he was selected as a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Festival. He co-hosts StraightioLab, a podcast about straight culture which was named the best comedy podcast of 2022 by New York Magazine, and one of the best podcasts of the year by Esquire, Glamour, Nylon, and Time Magazine. He has written for FOX's Let's Be Real, Comedy Central's Drag His Ass, the BBC's Comedians vs. the News, Roku's Gayme Show, and more. Previously he was a senior editor at Gawker. George mostly grew up in Athens, Greece, with a short but unfortunately formative stint in suburban New Jersey.
