About This Show
Hot Dish! is a comedy cooking interview show that dishes up hot goss and hot food with little skill, but a lot of heart, combining cooking and comedy. Amanda Vinicky, from WTTW's Chicago Tonight, will join us for cooking live on stage and high stakes trivia. You do not want to miss this smoke! We mean show!
Hot Dish! Is a pandemic project that started out in Lauren Hooberman's kitchen and then moved to podcast form and beyond. Lauren is now joined by fellow Chicago comics, Colleen Brennan and Amy Sumpter. While the food is cooking, (yes, it's real food) they will run a high stakes trivia challenge. You may win a prize! It might be amazing or it might be disposable underwear. We guarantee you will laugh a lot while Lauren interviews our very special guest. Hot Dish! promises to fully entertain you!
About Amanda Vinicky
Amanda Vinicky is a correspondent and segment host for “Chicago Tonight” (WTTW) who focuses primarily on Illinois government and politics—though her insatiable curiosity leads her to cover a little bit of everything. Vinicky joined “Chicago Tonight” in 2017, after spending a decade as the Statehouse Bureau Chief for NPR Illinois and the Illinois Public Radio network. Her work and analysis has been featured on shows including NPR’s “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered” and “The Takeaway,” and she’s garnered top honors from the Illinois Associated Press and the Association of Capitol Reporters and Editors. Vinicky loves mustard, hot sauce, podcasts, yoga and traveling (though she doesn’t do nearly enough of it) and she is always looking for stories to tell, foods to try, books to read and new places to discover!
